Our Projects (Scroll down for recommended resources.)
LOSS Teams Left At The Gate will work with counties, groups, and individuals to begin LOSS teams to provide immediate response to the recently bereaved with helpful information and resources.
Resource Packets Information for each South Carolina will be available to survivors of suicide loss through Left At The Gate and/or the county's LOSS team. These packets will have important contact information, self-care tips, and resources available.
Peer-to-Peer BOSS Group BOSS (Boxing Outreach to Survivors of Suicide) is a peer-to-peer survivors group based on intense exercise as a means to assist with coping with our losses. This is not meant to replace traditional therapy or peer-to-peer groups. It s a program for others like me, who find exercise to be a good way to work off steam and deal with stress. Left At The Gate is starting this group for survivors who are interested in a group in the Forest Acres area of Columbia. Click here to let us know of your interest.
Scholarships/Grants Left At The Gate will provide small scholarships and/or grants based on need and meeting our criteria for participation. Funding is limited to immediate family members of the decedent and may be for emergency expenses, medical, educational, therapy, or program expenses. These are typically small grants that may be requested on behalf of the family. For more information, click here.
Education Education is an important element in our programs. Left At The Gate will collaborate with other like-minded organizations, churches, schools, and businesses, to promote speaking engagements and events to raise awareness for the journey through a "new normal" life, as a result of suicide loss.
